What marijuana/cannabis businesses can you start in Pennsylvania?
On April 17, 2016, Gov. Tom Wolf signed The Medical Marijuana Act (SB 3) into law, making Pennsylvania the 24th state to legalize medical marijuana.
The Department of Health will begin issuing temporary regulations on November 17 and make permit application for dispensaries, growers, and processors available. They will issue license to 25 processors/growers, along with 50 dispensaries.
What can you do right now?
To get ahead and be prepared for when the state will start licensing marijuana businesses, you should:
Draft a Pre-Legalization Marijuana Company Business Plan so you can see and understand the costs associated with setting up a marijuana business, as well as projected revenues and financials that will allow you to decide whether this venture is for you or not. Acquire the pre-legalization version until the regulations are officially released. Clients use our business plans for fundraising as well as submitting and getting approval from the state, city and county licensing departments.
